We offer first class accommodation and care in a peaceful garden setting. All cat accommodation overlooks our orchard. Our two 'family' suites are very large and can accommodate up to 6 cats. Boarding fees include food, heated sleeping quarters, bedding, toys, scratch posts and daily brushing. We are open all year and guarantee that your cat will receive plenty of attention and affection. All cats are welcome provided they are healthy and have a current record of vaccination.

Two cats sharing the same chalet

3 or 4 cats sharing the 'Megan' family suite

  • There is a winter heating supplement of £1.00/day per pen from 1st November until 31st March inclusive.
  • Only cats from the same household are boarded in the same run.
  • The two larger family suites are normally for three or more cats, but we are happy to let them to smaller family units for the same daily charge.

There is a minimum stay of five days for
Christmas 2008.  Cats must be checked-in
by Tuesday 23rd December 2008 and cannot
check-out until Saturday 27th December 2008.
The normal daily boarding rates will apply.


  • You are welcome to come and visit us any time during these opening hours, but if you would like to phone ahead we can be sure to give you our best attention.

  • We are pleased to offer a collection and delivery service from £10.00 per journey by arrangement.

Please note: by bringing your cat(s) to board with us we will consider you have accepted the following Terms & Conditions.

As from 14th January 2005 it became a criminal offence to sell insurance cover if you are not regulated by the Financial Services Authority. Unfortunately, this means we are unable to provide insurance cover for your cat(s) during their stay and the three days following their stay in the cattery. Those without pet insurance will be required to meet the cost of any veterinary treatment that becomes necessary during their stay.

1. We require all customers to fill in a registration form for each cat with owner contact information, details of diet, grooming, medication, veterinary surgeon contact details. Clients are reminded that they are responsible for any veterinary fees incurred by their cats during their stay. Owners with pet insurance are advised to contact their insurance company to confirm that their cat is covered during its stay in the cattery.

2. Inglenook Cattery is very happy to accept any breed and age of cat provided that:

  • the cat has a valid, current vaccination certificate
  • the cat does not require injections, or medicines which are difficult to administer
  • the cat is generally in good health and is able to walk and use a litter tray
  • the cat does not have diabetes or any contagious illness
  • the cat has been recently and effectively treated for flea and worm eradication
  • any male cat over 9 months has been neutered

3. Our charges include

  • Food (twice daily) this will be using proprietary cat foods, water, daily cleaning, heated sleeping area, toys, scratch post and gentle grooming. Kittens will be fed three times a day.
  • Giving prescribed medication, vitamin tablets etc., when provided by the cat's owner which is easy to administer. Sorry we cannot give injections.

Our charges DO NOT INCLUDE

  • Specialist grooming (eg. Persians)
  • Any medications, please provide
  • Special foods not normally obtainable on the High Street. Please provide.
  • Any veterinary charges

4. Booking

We require a deposit of £10 per cat with each booking. This deposit may vary for busy times.

Our minimum charge is for three days including the day of arrival and the day of departure. We accept provisional bookings, but can only hold these for two days, please confirm your requirements as soon as possible.

We are aware that delayed flights can alter the planned collection of your cat. We will always do our best to accommodate your pet until you can rearrange collection, but during busy periods may need to hold your pet in smaller accommodation.

Unless the circumstances are exceptional, we need 48 hours notice if you intend to shorten your cats stay with us. If you collect your cat earlier than booked, we will charge for the total booked period.

We reserve the right to dispose of any cat(s) not collected with 15 days of the booked departure date if no communication from you or your agent has been received. We will make every possible effort to contact you.

5. Cancellation

Cancellation within two weeks of the booked arrival date will result in loss of deposit (subject to our discretion). If cancellation is made 48 hours or less before the date of arrival a payment equivalent to three days' boarding fees will become due. Any deposit will be held against this.

7. Hours of business


We are open from 9 am to 11 am and 4 pm to 6.pm Monday to Saturday and 11 am to 2 pm Sundays. We are closed Bank Holidays. Customers are asked to deliver and collect their cats within these hours. Cats delivered and collected outside these hours must be by appointment.

We offer a collection and delivery service outside of these hours by arrangement. Charges are from £10 each way depending on distance.

Customers are required to pay Inglenook Cattery the boarding fees for their cat(s) stay in full before they are collected from the cattery.


We take our responsibilities to you and your cat(s) very seriously and always do our very best to ensure that your cat(s) stay is happy and enjoyable. We will keep your cat as comfortable as possible during his/her stay with us.
